Ein jugendlicher Held rettet ein M�dchen aus den H�nden eines Kentauren. Ein heisses Ringen zwischen dem R�uber und seiner Beute ist vorhergegangen. Das Haar des M�d chens ist zerzaust, ihr Oberkorper v�llig entbl�sst; den Mantel, der ihn bedeckte, hat ihr der Kentaur abgerissen; der untere Theil haftet noch an den H�ften, der obere herabg�glittene nur noch am linken Unterarm, von der Hand krampfhaft gehalten, w�hrend die beiden Enden nachschleifen. Ver st�ndlich wird das Gewandmotiv nat�rlich nur, wenn man sich die erloschenen Theile aus dem Stich der Pilture d' Ercolcmo hinzu denkt. Noch jetzt, wo der Retter gen�ht ist, h�lt der Kentaur das fliehende Madchen mit festem Griff bei der Schulter gepackt, und vergeblich versucht dieses ihn mit der ausgestreckten Rechten fortzustossen. Mit elementarer Gewalt hat der Heros den R�uber �ber rascht. St�rmisch ihm nacheilend die gebl�hte Chlamys verr�th noch die Hast seines Laufes hat er ihm das linke Bein auf die Kruppe gesetzt, ihn wuchtig zu Boden gedruckt und mit der Linken beim Kopf gepackt; die Finger wiihlen sich durch das dicke Haar des Kentauren und umklammern dessen Sch�del. Die Rechte holt mit gezucktem Schwert zum Stoss aus. Der Kentaur ist in den Hinterbeinen zusammengebrochen; das rechte Vorderbein scheint vorgleitend einen Halt zu suchen, das linke wird im Schmerz hochgezogen.
