Seller's Description:
Very good in very good dust jacket. Hbk, small 4to, 331pp, shelfmark on lower spine, Cin649no other signs of library ownership or use, appears unread and a fine, clean, tight and unmarked copy in dj in protective sleeve.
I used this book in the 80's to research clay-body and glaze technology for sculpting in clay. I just bought a copy for my daughter who is experimenting with clay tile making for murals. I enjoyed re-reading it before passing it on. It is profoundly clear and informative for both introductory and in-depth exploration of clay. Rhodes is one of those rare teachers that - through masterful knowledge of, and affection for, his craft - can make arcane information accessible. Many ceramicists are happy with a particular store-bought clay-body and catalog glazes. If you want to know more, get this book.
