This'will be apparent when it'is known that some things need vastly more water than others, and at a differ ent time, and further, that while one method of irrigation would be necessary for, cne crop, it would 'not only be improper, but might prove fatal, to another. The small grains and grasses for example have to be flooded. The hoedcrops as a rule require later irrigation and a different system. So too, the hoed crops differ in themselves with respect to moisture requirements. Hence, it is important to plant with these precautions in view.
