Il maintient qu'elle n'a jamais est� pratiqu�e en plusieurs mani�res dont il se sert, ququ'elles soient toutes excellentes tant � l'oreille que par raison, sans que nul musicien puisse rien treuver a redire, et sans que l'oreille mesme apper�oive l'employ d'une bonne partie desdites mani�res, de sorte qu'elles sont plutost � admirer qu'� r� prendre: parce que la dite quarte y est mise avec toutes les observations n�cessaires et en son lieu naturel, comme ceux - l� jugeront ays�ment qui entendent les raisons de la musique joint qu'elle entre toujours en relation des consoa nance: qui l'environnent naturellement, et que pour la faire gouster avec plus de douceur elle est pr�c�d�e par une ou plusieurs parties, qui font un chant qu'elle va imitant en mesme fugue ou contre elle sert � plusieurs � chanter leur partie, particuli�rement en me sure ternaire, car quiconque saura toutes les parties de cette Fantaisie chantera partout et en toute sorte de musique, pour difficile qu'elle soit; aussi nul ne la peut - il chanter comme il faut sans l'avoir preveu� ce qui n'arrive pas a cause d'aucuns intervalles extravagans puisque les chats en sont fort agr�ables et tr�s - chantable.
