Her Rattle Sister, also a companion from the time when she was still a human, lends a hand when during her forty days in that unfamiliar world she yearns to rise into yet another mysterious dimension familiar from former days. Buffalo, her mighty Spirit Guide, patiently instructs her in the ways of the alien world that she has entered. We come to know also other famous personages of the Pueblo world of myth, animal spirits such as Old Man Coyote, Grandfather Bear, Sister Snake and Spider Woman.
