The Best Beekeeping Book You Can Read
Published in 1974, this beekeeping book was written by beekeeper and philosopher Richard Taylor - so it is about both bees and being. Although it contains some technical information, it is more about the art of beekeeping than its science. The book takes us back to a simpler time (pre-mites) when I first stared keeping bees in New York State - where the only worry was "foul brood" and "bee rent" was payed with a bottle of whiskey hidden near a hive.
Enjoy it as a winter read while you are waiting for another year with the bees. And then place it in your book shelf and read it again in a few years.
