I bought this book after borrowing it a number of times from the library. In my opinion, this book stands above other heat transfer books. It has a very broad selection of classical mehtods with a large number of practical examples. In my textbook Tactical Missile Design, I used a method from Conduction of Heat in Solids to predict the transient temperature of internal insulation exposed to aerodynamic heating .
