This collection of 77 papers by Lloyd-Jones is being published to commemorate his retirement. The subjects covered by the essays reflect Lloyd-Jones' wide interest in the field of Greek literature: Homer, tragedy, lyric poetry, comedy and mythology. Some of the more interesting papers were originally published in foreign journals and have not been widely accessible until now. The work will be of interest to scholars and students of classical language and literature.
