I have always loved the Disney movie, starring Angela Lansbury, but had no idea how the story had been altered. This book filled in some gaps, such as, she was not seeking to become a witch to help the war, she was just seeking to become a witch, and how her relationship with Mr. Brown was created. I found it a great read, and fun. Though I'm in my 40s, I still love reading the books of childhood, so this took me to a new place. Always a fun time. Highly recommended.
