Oliver Bloody Boring Cromwell
I'm sure My Lord Protector was a much more interesting and dynamic man than presented in the pages of this quagmire of a biography. I stopped slogging through about half-way through. It's repetitious and just too difficult to read. Sentences are convoluted; 100 words are used when 15 or 20 would suffice. Not at all as interesting as some of Lady Antonia's other biographies.
