Seller's Description:
Near Fine in Very Good jacket. Second impression ("Reprinted before publication"). Tall octavo. Black cloth. Binding slightly cocked, else near fine in a very good dust jacket with tiny nicks, and several creases on the flaps. Inscribed by the author on the dedication page ("To all Press reporters"): "For Michael Curtis, Sincere regards. Frederick Forsyth." Basis for the 1974 film of the same name directed by Ronald Neame, starring Jon Voight and Maximilian Schell.
I read the novel first and then viewed the film. As expected, the novel is much better, though the movie is interesting.
If one enjoys a well-research novel, consider the works of F. Forsyth. He is a master of plot and intrigue and mystery.
I have ordered several of his novels. Remarkable writer.
