This is one of the books that I really enjoyed reading. It includes concise information with enough equations to evaluate a design but without the complexities of deriving the equations. It includes information that would shorten the guess work of sail shape, for example, while sailing. It does not make you an expert in designing a boat, but it helps definitely in understanding a boat design and what to expect from it. It is helpful in making a decision while purchasing a boat by getting a good idea about its expected performance. I recommend it to boat designers and boaters alike since it is helpul but not difficult to read and understand.
