What a find this book is! While restoring a favorite old truck, Michael Perry meets the woman who will become his wife. How lucky we are that he shared his experiences with both of these loves with us. This book will not disappoint. As much a pleasure to read as his others. Just wish that there were more, because the writing is so superior.

Words that mean something.
Michael Perry takes the reader on a journey through thoughts and occurrences of a year in his shoes. He muses small-town living, trying to garden, the resurrection of his old truck, and the joys and nuances of growing in love with a woman and her daughter. Every word means something, even if the format is a curious stream-of-consciousness that can be confusing and altogether amusing. It's truthful and heartfelt the whole way through.
