Blue meets his equal!?
This author writes delightful novels about the melding of the animal kingdom and the human realm and she does it with equality and flair. Her characters are always flawed and almost always rising above their trauma as life asks for more ...
The idea of Dirk and Steele is one that in one form or another authors have been writing about forever. We love the idea of an agency or a group of people with the power and money to right some of the wrongs in the world. We also love the idea of having a sixth sense, or an extra talent. Marjorie writes about this stuff and rightly so gives voice to the truth that it's not all sunshine and roses having a gift (or is it a curse) that is overwhelming and often makes one an outsider.
Blue is one of my favorites because he stays focused...most of the time. This is a true love story with a very suspenseful timeline that at times is so powerful it seems to dwarf the characters.
I enjoy all her writing but this book was a little harder to get into but well worth the extra effort furthur down the road. Keep an eye out for Rictor. I really want to know his story.
I know the review is a bit vague for me but the book doesn't fit in a basic spot.It carves out it's own niche. Enjoy.
