Unfortunately, all she finds is the dead body of Daisy Bedinghaus, Kit's ex-girlfriend. Fiercely loyal, Nina takes it upon herself to jump into the homicide investigation to clear Kit's name. Investigating is difficult, however, thanks to Nina's ex-husband moving into her house to recuperate from a gunshot wound, her stepson's misbehaviour, and wild turkeys on the loose in her neighbourhood. Her biggest worry, however, is whether she can find Kit before the killer finds her.
