I picked this up because I like the other Vikram Seth books I've read. This one is also good, well worth reading.

Two Very Different People
Vikram Seth recounts details of his years living with his aunt and uncle in England. However, this book goes far beyond mere memoir as he seeks to understand his aunt and uncle by researching each of their pasts through photographs, letters, visits to India and Germany, interviews with their former neighbors, and even concentration camp records. Through Seth's brilliant writing and meticulous research, the lives, struggles, triumphs, and personalities of two very different people are revealed. Two Lives is an amazingly wonderful book.
