Marvelous for young and old.
I have read this book several times to my son. Not only is the story intriguing, the art work is spellbinding. Now we talk, all the time, about visiting Dinotopia! Until someone is able to get off the island, and reveal it's location, we will have to visit through the pages of Mr. Gurney's book. Although the story is truely unique, there is sly references to some of history's great literature and mysteries of the earth. It will certianly give you reason to ponder, if you catch what's between the lines. The reading may be somewhat advanced for young children. But they will hang on every word, when it's read to them.
