I enjoyed Home is the Sailor a lot. It is a good follow up to Dove which is the story of Robin Lee Graham sailing his sloop Dove around the world as a 16 year old boy. It answered the question where is Robin now.
This is an adventure book and a kind of biography. It is what and who Robin and his wife Patti are.
It is the story of a boy and a girls who are not afraid to pursue their dreams no matter what.
I personally know Robin and had dinner with him in Feb of 2011. He is kind, caring and a down to earth honest person. Truly someone you would like to meet.
Being a fellow adventurer and lifetime sailor I had lots of questions to ask and shared a lot of common interests with Robin. We discussed the winds, currents, and sailing tracks in the Pacific.
Home is the Sailor is well worth reading and is a true "slice of life" narrative. This is the story of Robin and Patti's life after he finished his circumnavigation and settled in Montana near Kalispel. It is a fascinating and personal look at their adventures and how they made a new life.
