Seller's Description:
Good. Some small spots of dampstaining to foredge. A collection of humorous anecdotes relating the joys and trials of hunting, fishing, and camping. The great outdoors have never been rendered as hysterically as in the reminiscences true and exaggerated of Patrick F. McManus. If youre thinking about getting back to nature, the surreal adventures chronicled here will make you think twice about giving it all up for a life of camping, hiking, and hunting.

Mc Manus is a fine and pleasant memory, it is very few books that actually cause me to laugh out loud when I read them. This one does that, what more can I say.

His Best Work
I grew up reading Patrick McManus every month in Outdoor Life and Field and Stream magazines. Waiting for his next story to appear in a months time was tough on me and my fellow outdoorsman high school friends. We would take turns reading his stories aloud until overcome by laughing fits that interrupted our air supplies and have to pass to the next reader. We were thrilled when McManus books were introduced so waiting was not a problem anymore. When I met Patrick McManus at a book signing, I had to bring this book in a plastic bag because I had worn out the hardbound backing an pages were falling out. Most of his stories are based on his experiences growing up in rural north Idaho that we could relate to in our home town of Boise. I highly recommend reading and laughing at these wonderful stories of his mishaps while fishing and hunting in and around Sand Creek or is it Sand Crick? Read and find out the difference between a creek and a crick. My favorite story of all time is in this book. "The Modified Stationary Panic" will be sure to cause tears of joy if you are hunter or fisherperson. I am sure you will enjoy this wonderful collection among Pat's entertaining books.
