It's a reference book, some prefer Malvino to Savant or Floyd it depends on how you like to learn. Malvino is easy to follow but gives a lot of information and doesn't go to directly to the point. If you have time and want to learn it's the best book. It you need to learn the basics as fast as possible buy another book, I liked savant. (Electronic Design: Circuits and Systems )
