THIS BOOK IS A GEM
This small gem of a book has got to be among the best prayer books ever written. Barclay has a particular way with words that calms & opens your heart to the spiritual world. His words sound like they are the product of years of reflection and trying to get it right. His introductory explanation of prayer (how it is in our nature to pray and how to do it) was a transformational guide in my own spiritual development for which I am very grateful. Barclay was the only commentator that I ever heard recommended by the late Bishop Fulton J. Sheen - not that Barclay was right all of the time but that he was quite helpful and insightful most of the time. For anyone who is honestly seeking to build a solid relationship with God, this book is a a valuable and helpful DAILY companion to have at your side.
