Seller's Description:
Very Good + in Fine jacket. Book. Signed by Author(s) A square solid tight clean very carefully read copy. The fore and top edge of the text block are tanned which is not unusual for UK editions, possibly a bit worse than most. There is a small almost invisible see through stain to the top edge of the text block. The jacket is PC. This copy has been signed by Follett on the title page. I believe that the UK edition is the true first of this title. THIS COPY IS IN MY POSSESSION AND WILL NORMALLY SHIP NEXT DAY.
The story itself is interesting and fascinating. However, for my taste, the author must have collected a lot of details and then dumped them into the book. The work could have been cut by 1/3 and been a better book. I began doing that when the book lagged, and it worked well.
However, the true adventure is exciting. The problem with the "Wings of Eagles" is the book had too many feathers to fly gracefully.
