Size: 8x0x9; 111 p., clean within with occasional cautionary or appreciative notations; e.g. on p. 75--"Rose Petal Sorbetto" (which has faint stain--just a drop) next to notation in margin referring to amount of syrup "It's a bit much I think; on p. 51 "Amaretto Poached Pear Gelato" in margin "Be careful don't let the milk be too hot" and "Outstanding a lot of work; " p. 37, "Hazelnut Gelato" in upper margin " Too gritty, strain out the nuts a la pistachio p. 43" and p. 3 "Stracciatella Gelato, " it reads "For cinnamon leave out chocolate"--and the instructions to use 1-1/4 cups sugar is changed to 1 cup. Other recipes with rmarginalia are Mascarpone Gelato and Vanilla Gelato. This book was cherished yet not worn out--paper is strong and unaged and photos are gorgeous. It once belonged to a serious culinary artist and it deserves to be in the hands of someone worthy of it. Binding is firm; boards are without discernible wear; clean unfaded photographic d.j. has some chipping at crown of spine panel, and darkening at lower edge of rear panel.
