Includes some of Bainbridge's own black and white drawings. A selection of 50 of what the author considered the best of the idiosyncratic articles she contributed to the London 'Evening Standard'. Each piece is prefaced with a new paragraph recording her present reflecitons, and jottings at the end give a running commentary on readers' reactions at the time.
