Seller's Description:
VERY GOOD. Signed by Barth. First printing. Near Fine book in 6.95 Near Fine jacket. Large black cloth hardcover published in 1966 by Doubleday is first printing (as per McBride 3rd edition 1996) publisher apparently did not use its usual convention for identifying first printings--that is, there is no statement of "first edition". H18 in specified location. Trade edition. Brief gift inscription by author on false title page. Stamp inside front cover states"With compliments of Doubleday & Company, Inc." otherwise no marks or writing. Cover as new except what appears to be a very small (less than 1/4") spot of wax on back cover. Page edges not quite pristine. Someone has tried to erase a small ink price on front free endpaper, removing some color but ink still visible. Dust jacket very nice--protected by clear mylar archival cover--with only slight wrinkling along edges, just a little wear on flaps where not covered by mylar cover. OVERSIZE. **We provide professional service and individual attention to your order, daily shipments, and sturdy packaging. **Your purchase supports our town's public library.
