His broader areas of interest include anthropology of development, applied anthropology, social change, and development. Before joining the Society of Fellows at SUSTech, he worked as a lecturer at the University of Peshawar, as an assistant professor at the University of Swabi Pakistan, and as a research and reporting officer at Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan.
