She received her PhD in 1994 in Physiology and Environmental Sciences. She completed her postdoctoral training from University of California, Berkeley. Her research interest include wound inflammation, mechanisms of resolution of diabetic wound inflammation, role of miRNA in tissue repair processes. Dr. Roy has over 150 peer review publications in high impact journals including Nature Nanotechnology, PNAS and Journal of Immunology. Dr. Roy is the President Elect of the Wound Healing Society. She serves in the Editorial Board of several Journals such as Physiological Genomics, Antioxidants and Redox Signaling. She is an expert in significance of macrophage and inflammation in chronic wounds. Dr. Roy's research is funded by National Institute of Health (NIDDK, NIH). See less
