The defence of "nature" in scholarly, scientific and political circles alike has been largely subsumed in the sustainability vision. Thomas-Pellicer demonstrates that the horizon offered by this rubric, for all its polyvalent uses, is not sufficiently broad to intellectually (and politically) address the global ecodebacle.
