Neil Potter was born and raised in the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky. The son of a coal miner, he grew up eating soup beans and corn bread and running through the hollers barefoot. Neil still loves soup beans and corn bread, but now chooses to wear shoes when outside.
