Matthew Kepnes runs the award winning budget travel site, Nomadic Matt. He never grew up in a family of travel lovers and it wasn't until a trip to Costa Rica in 2004 that he feel in love with the freedom and possibility travel had to offer. After a trip to Thailand in 2005, Matt decided to quit his job, finish his MBA and head off into the world. His original trip was supposed to last a year. Along the way, he started teaching others how to travel on a budget in hopes of showing that the prevailing wisdom is wrong-you can afford to travel wherever you want!
