Kate Young grew up in Norwich where she completed her teaching degree. She moved to Kent in 1978 to start a long teaching career and still enjoys the odd day working in KS1. She lives with her husband, her grown-up children having 'flown the nest'! She has been passionate about poetry and literature since childhood.
