Jane Savoie, born and raised in Massachusetts, attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and received a B.S. in Animal Science. She rode hunters as a child, evented in college, and began specializing in dressage in 1976 when she moved to Vermont. She ran the riding programme at the Vershire School Stables, 1976 to 1980. Jane Savoie, born and raised in Massachusetts, attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and received a B.S. in Animal Science. She rode hunters as a child, evented in college, and began specializing in dressage in 1976 when she moved to Vermont. She ran the riding programme at the Vershire School Stables, 1976 to 1980. Since 1980, she has been a freelance dressage instructor, motivational speaker, travelling clinician, trainer, and competitor. She was the reserve rider for the 1992 US Olympic Dressage team in Barcelona, and since has gone on to coach both dressage and three-day event riders at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. She is the author of the best-selling books That Winning Feeling!, Cross-Train Your Horse and More Cross-Training as well as the video sets, The Half Halt - Demystified! and Riding in Your Mind's Eye. She lives in Randolph Center, Vermont and Wellington, Florida with her husband Rhett. See less
