Rev. Dr. Don Johnson is a Makah Indian from Neah Bay, Washington. He served as a pastor in his hometown upon graduation from Concordia Seminary, Springfield, Illinois in 1973 and eventually was elected to the Makah Tribal council until 1993 when he moved to Maplewood, Minnesota to finish his doctorate and to begin work with the Lutheran Association of Missionaries and Pilots U.S. He currently resides with his wife Mary and son Chris in Maplewood.
