Debbie Kesling began making bears in 1983. Her work has been featured on the cover of Teddy Bear Review magazine and in many other books and periodicals. Debbie Kesling began making bears in 1983. Her work has been featured on the cover of Teddy Bear Review magazine and in many other books and periodicals. She has also been awarded a Golden Teddy for her miniature designs. Her instructional video, 'Secrets of Miniature Artistry', has sold thousands of copies worldwide since its 1994 release. Debbie has been honoured to be an artist invited to participate in the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Teddy Bear Conventions. Some of her miniature designs have been produced by 'Little Gems'. As a regular contributor to Teddy Bear and Friend magazine, Debbie writes the 'Cybearspace' Internet column. She was also a contributing writer for The Teddy Bear Sourcebook. Apart from writing and creating teddy bears, Debbie is passionate aviculturist and nature lover. Her parrot behaviour modification techniques have been cited in many reference works, and her articles on endangered cockatoo breeding and behaviour have appeared in several publications. Debbie makes her home in Lambertville, Michigan, with her husband John, her Irish wolfhound Bubba and some feathered friends. See less
