Charles White, MD
Charles White was born in 1946 in New Martinsville, West Virginia. In 1968 he obtained his B.A. in French from Abilene Christian University. In 1974 he was awarded the M.A. in French after studies at Middlebury College in Vermont and at the Sorbonne in Paris. In 1976 he and his wife Pam, with their first daughter, moved to Grenoble, France, to begin working with Churches of Christ in that country. Charles White was born in 1946 in New Martinsville, West Virginia. In 1968 he obtained his B.A. in French from Abilene Christian University. In 1974 he was awarded the M.A. in French after studies at Middlebury College in Vermont and at the Sorbonne in Paris. In 1976 he and his wife Pam, with their first daughter, moved to Grenoble, France, to begin working with Churches of Christ in that country. In 1987 the White family, now with three daughters, moved to Lyon, France. Aside from his mission work in French-speaking Europe, Charles White was director and principal translator for the French edition of the monthly magazine Truth for Today from 1996 to 2012. In 1998 he was awarded the Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from the Theological University of America. In 2013, after 37 years in French-speaking missions, Charles and Pam White returned to the United States. Since then, Charles has consecrated most of his time to translation and writing projects.
