Carla Jones is a fresh voice at Echelon Press Publishing. Her non-fiction eBook, Death from Rheumatoid Arthritis, chronicles her mother's medical and personal experience, fighting the disease. After many years living with RA, her mother manifested many unusual physical symptoms. Only one specialist was able to correctly diagnose her with spinal cord syndrome, due to her eroded cervical spine. Sadly, when the diagnosis was revealed, corrective surgery was not a survivable option. The author's mission is to bring awareness to the fact that one can die from complications, due to rheumatoid arthritis. Her story lists signs and symptoms of an instable spinal column, related to the advancement of the disease. Mrs. Jones attended Pinebrook Jr. College and Southeastern University, earning her equivalence of an Associate's Degree in Psychology. The author has worked as a freelance writer for The Morning Call Newspaper, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. While employed there she wrote for the Arts and Entertainment Department, Neighbors Magazine and for Lehigh Valley Woman's Magazine. She has also written for Pennsylvania's, NeighborCare Pharmacy, presently known as Omnicare Pharmacy. Recently, one of her articles for Operation Christmas Child, a non- for profit organization, was published in, "The Country Register." The author resides in Southeastern Pennsylvania where she co-leads a monthly writer's circle. She's actively involved in her church and volunteers as a Media Specialist for, "Operation Christmas Child." The international program spearheaded by the world relief agency, Samaritan's Purse.
