Monsoon Commerce Appoints New CEO and VP of Engineering to Accelerate Growth and Product Advancements

Seasoned eCommerce and software executives bolster already-strong management team

Portland, OR—January 22, 2014— Monsoon Commerce, Inc., the leading provider of eCommerce solutions for small and mid-sized merchants, announced today the appointment of two new executives. Experienced software and eCommerce executive Tommaso Trionfi was named CEO of Monsoon Commerce. In addition, Rob Teichman-a former colleague of Mr. Trionfi's-was appointed vice president of engineering. Prior CEO Jim Cruckshank was named chairman of the board of directors.

These leadership changes follow the recent announcement of the Compass IM Warehouse Management System acquisition. Collectively, these actions are designed to build on the success of Monsoon Commerce as an award-winning technology provider whose accolades include being named the top-ranked order management system provider to the Internet Retailer 1000 for the past two years. The addition of top talent to the existing Monsoon Commerce executive team will accelerate the development and execution of key growth initiatives.

New CEO Tommaso Trionfi brings more than 23 years of experience growing successful global software and engineering businesses. Mr. Trionfi's previous leadership positions include CEO of Merchantry, an eCommerce marketplace platform provider, and CEO of Wimba, a leader in collaborative learning software applications. He has significant experience building and aligning effective teams across organizations and developing strategic initiatives that build on market demand. As CEO, Mr. Trionfi will lead Monsoon Commerce across all divisions and product lines, including the Monsoon Pro, Monsoon Stone Edge, and Monsoon WMS software lines, as well as the Alibris online marketplace.

Rob Teichman is a seasoned technology executive accomplished in full life cycle product and business development. Most recently, he was the vice president of product development for Merchantry. He has also served as the senior director of marketplaces and business integration for eBay Enterprise (formerly GSI Commerce). Mr. Teichman's breadth of experience extends to information technology, systems integration, eCommerce, management, and application development. In this role, he will drive innovation across all product development efforts for Monsoon Commerce.
