Although, Writing About Diversity also stress the importance of expanding student understanding by reading material from a variety of information sources -- magazines, journals, books, and material obtained overthe Internet. An entire chapter is devoted to helping students develop effective strategies for reading and evaluating outside sources. With the skills they develop in writing essays about difficult subjects, the students will write more thoughtful, effective essays.
