Describes the mission of Combined Operations-a semi-independent unit of British admirals, generals and air marshals-which led to the success of invations in North Africa, Sicily and Normandy. Green cloth, map endpapers, 445 pages, dustjacket. Covers rubbed at the extremities with bumping to the spine and corners, good hinges, sound text block, light foxing to the endpapers, pages otherwise clean and unmarked other than the author inscription.
