He is best known for his humorous short pieces written over many years for The New Yorker. He also wrote for several other magazines, including Judge, as well as books, scripts, and screenplays. He received an Academy Award for screenwriting in 1956. This copy is very good + with a white cloth spine on red cloth boards and colored titles on the spine and a black author's facsimile signature on the front cover. Some sunning at the edges and bumping at the spine ends, but no other marks or damage. The unclipped DJ is also very good with just minor edge wear and slight soiling. SR.
