MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK THE ELEGANT EMU (a Harmony Adventure) by Karen M. Bobos is another sweet book for children to read. In this one, the three magical sisters need to enroll in an etiquette class because their manners are terrible in front of the King and Queen, and while there, they were able to learn a few more valuable lessons on life. But would these Bobo Princesses actually remember to do the things they learned? For me the worst things they did was burping and gas passing. Surely they know now this is inappropriate around the King and Queen. This was a fun book to read, with the sisters and what uncommonly comes out of their mouth. This is an amazing book for any child to read, because children pick up certain words or phrases, or maybe some bodily sounds or smells that are not the right way to act. So this is an exceptionally good way to teach your child some good etiquette. Karen M. Bobos does a phenomenal job in writing this book so children can well understand what she is saying. I love all of Bobos books and I think this one just might be my favorite. I encourage you to check this book out, and to also recommend it to your child's classroom and school library as well as anyone public library. I am giving this one Five Stars. A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book. This is my opinion only. The Elegant Emu
The Elegant Emu is another fun book for younger readers from Karen Bobos and her Adventures in Harmony series. It was a great addition to the series. Elizabeth the Emu has a tough job of teaching the Bobos Babes sisters of Harmony Angel Scarlett, Princess Daphne, and Fairy Cora on how to have good manners. This includes: having good table manners, how passing gas is rude, not being on time is bad etiquette, being kind, the importance of hand washing, and others. Even though this is for the young ones to learn some important lessons in life, I believe many adults could learn something from it, also.
The Elegant Emu is illustrated by the talent Emily Hercock. I thought her pictures are beautifully created to follow the story perfectly. It gives a great way for little ones to continue to stay interested and give them a wonderful visualization of what is going on.
I am giving The Elegant Emu a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who are between the ages of three and seven years old. It would be a great addition to add to school classrooms or local libraries. I can imagine it being a wonderful way to spend a story time hour. I would love to read the other books from the Adventures in Harmony series by Karen M Bobos. This one should not be missed.
I received a soft cover copy of The Elegant Emu from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
