Star loved to play outside with nature. One day a she met little Butterfly that was her friend, and she named him Twinkle. Star and Twinkle always played together outside until one day Star went outside and Twinkle wasn't there. This made Star so sad, and I was actually sad for Star too! Star kept watching for Twinkle each day and was so sad, until one day she receives something that makes her happy again.
This is such a sweet story. Star is a beautiful little girl and it was watching her play with her friend Twinkle. I like that author Melissa Stuart encourages children to respect and play with insects such as a butterfly.
Adding to the book are the beautiful and wonderful illustrations by Kate Solenova! I love the beautiful colors, like colors of butterflies and the Sunflowers, and all of the illustrations on each page. Kate Solenova, you did an amazing job bringing this story to life! I would love seeing this book in any elementary school library or daycare library.

Butterfly Love from Above
Butterfly Love from Above is a sweet and heartwarming story about a little girl, Star, who is grieving the loss of her beloved best friend and butterfly, Twinkle. Little Star has to learn how to deal with life without her friend she dearly loved and misses so much. As she moves forward, she learns and discovers joy again by helping others. I really liked this tale and admired Star�s courage in turning to those who are, also, dealing with their own hard times. I loved reading how she was able to find happiness by bringing it for those who are needing it, as well. A beautifully written book to read. It may be mainly for readers between the ages of four and eight, but many, young and old alike, will enjoy it too. I loved it.
Butterfly Love from Above is beautifully illustrated by the talented artist, Kate Solenova. I thought the pictures were a perfect addition to the story. They are so colorful and bright that helps little ones to follow along with the words.
I am giving Butterfly Love from Above five stars. It would make a great gift for young readers who are grieving a loss. I would love to read more books about Star and other life lessons she learns in the future.

Butterfly Love From Above is a delightful childrenââ?¬â?¢s book that shares a positive message that will help readers deal with loss and reiterates an encouraging message to ââ?¬Ë?always look upââ?¬â?¢. The art in this book is vibrant and sharp. Some of the faces and expressions are so life like, which really helps children see the emotion on the characters faces. Nearly every page in this book is an art piece unto itself. I loved how the color palette changes with the mood as well, ensuring that the emotional weight of the moment is felt.
With easy-to-understand language this would be a great book for early readers that are ready to take on books themselves. This would also be a fantastic book to read at bedtime as it�s sure to inspire the imagination.
This is a beautiful picture book with a wonderfully diverse cast of characters and a heartfelt moment of friendship that will tug at the heart. I also greatly appreciated the true story that this book is based on that is shared at the end of the book. Both of these stories are inspiring and one that adults and children will enjoy.
