Basically, this is healthy food combining for weight loss at it's easiest. Judy Mazel researched a compilation of centuries-old known ways of eating for maximum benefit, in losing weight and in maintaining that healthy weight loss.
Judy presents this in an entertaining way as if you know her as your next door neighbor but many celebrities flocked to her door and made her world-famous.
Judy talks about a lot about being a "Skinny" but what she wants us to celebrate is our slim thighs and hipbones that we can see again, not in being skin and bones skinny. (She made me laugh too as I could relate to everything she said!).
I also ordered the modified second book (she wrote the next one in 1996) just out of curiosity. It is designed for those who want to eat a more varied menu while still losing weight, manifesting in a slower weight loss. This one is good too!
Both of these books have great informative easy to follow guidelines and if you love to eat, this author understands and speaks to your stomach and your heart! For me, this way works the best, no suffering involved in losing weight if you love fresh fruit (and other food groups!) and want to stay healthy. No other weight loss works as well for me or I "yo-yo" it back on. I turn everyone onto this book as I believe in it and as Judy says, you can maintain your weight FOR LIFE!!
