This is a classic. Want to know how to make puff pastry from scratch? You can trust Paula Peck.
My copy was ruined by water damage, and I ordered a replacement at the first opportunity. I can't be without this book.

Treasures Found
Sometime in the early sixties Life Magazine ran a batch of Christmas baking receipes in a December issue which became a yearly baking tradition for our family, stollen bread, dark fruitcake and a lot more. The cut-out receipes were used again and again- got ripped and colored by the candied fruit and the tradition was carried on for years. Several moves later I lost the torn pieces and one of my daughters tried to reconstitute them for her family with not a lot of success. I had one small piece of that Life Magazine left and this winter I looked again for any info, a date, or anything: but noticed that these receipes were pre-published from a book by Paula Peck. Googling Paula Peck with baited breath I got to this Alibris site and yes! there was a Peck baking book published in ' 61!! I bought one for myself and one for my eldest daughter, all our favorites and more are there exactly as we made them and as we now will be able to bake again. I have to get two more books for my other children and their families. What a great service! Thank you.
