Decorative borders in blind to board edges. Though soundly bound and generally clean the bottom edges of the boards are well shelf rubbed with rub through to the cloth along much of the bottom edges. Lower front corners with cloth rubbed through and boards showing; light fray to cloth at spine ends. Gilt pictorial title design a bit dulled but still striking and attractive. Gift inscription in pencil and ink stamp to front endpage. A few signatures starting at front edge. Handsomely illustrated throughout with woodcuts of hunting scenes and game bird depictions. Original front and rear endpages with moderate foxing though the contents are generally bright with just scattered light spotting.
