Es musste stets auffallend erscheinen, dass der Nachweis des Jedes im nicht verkohlten Schwemme durch Salpeters???ure und Amylon direkt niemals gelingt. Um den Jodgehalt der Schw???mme in frischem Zustande direkt z. B. In Vorlesungen nachzuweisen, bleibt kein anderes Verfahren ???brig, Will man den umst???ndlichen Weg der Verkohlung und das Auslaugen des Kohlenr???ckstandw vermeiden, als &hwammfragmente mit concentrirter Schwefels???ure im Proberohre zu erhitzen, wobei violette D???mpfe auftreten, vorausgesetzt, dass die Schw???mme nicht zu arm an Jod sind, jedenfalls aber zeigt ein mit Amy]onkleiater und Natronlauge befeuchteter Glasstab in das Proberohr gehalten deutlich blaue F???rbung. Die Allra linit???t des Amylonkleisters in diesem Falle ist desshalb n???thig, um die Zerst???rung des Amylons durch heisse verdampfende Schwefels???ure zu verhindern wodurch die Reaktion aufge hoben w???rde.
