a great read but $$
Overall a good read about Ron Dawes who showed how hard work, lots of miles and a love for the sport got him to the 1968 olympics. His 30 mile long runs are not a common part of current training for most marathoners but the high weekly mileage and twice a day runs certainly are.
This would be a great motivator for a D3 or D2 runner - but out of print for many years and thus not readily available unless they want to spend the $$$ for one of the few copies that still is apparently around. I bought the book after seeing a reference to the title and wanting a copy for my "running library"
perhaps Ron can get a kindle or on-line version available.
