Many books published dealing with Pompei. This was a nice believable account. Very exciting right to end of book.

Gripping Account of Pompeii's Last Days
Robert Harris has done a fantastic job with an oft-told story. His approach to the events (and I won't give any spoilers!) is genius. I hear that the British are making a mini-series or movie of this book and I cannot wait until it comes out. Imperium and Conspirata are masterpieces by Harris; Pompeii is even better.
