Excellent historically-based mystery
There were so many twists and turns that I couldn't put the book down. There was a lot of history in the novel and has inspired me to get some history books. Mr. Harris has yet to write less than a great book. His novels, such as Pompeii, Imperium and Archangel, are top-notch!

Realistic historical background
Harris writes well. This is not his best book but a good read, nonetheless and the historical background is very well set.
