Very Good. 12mo-over 6¾"-7¾" tall. 3rd edition, 12mo, 293pp, frontis + line illustrations, green cloth lettered and decorated in black and gilt with inset gilt images including Tattershall Castle, top edge gilt; spine area a little rubbed with some loss of definition and light wear to spine extrems; some minor soiling of some pages; front inner hinge beginning to crack, previous owner's bookplate to fr pastedown; overall however, a pleasing example, VG Copy.

Good+ No Jacket. 12mo-over 6¾"-7¾" tall. Brown cloth with gilt and black pictorials and lettering on front cover and spine, the gilt on the front is quite bright. Corners and spine ends bumped and worn, some wear to spine, minor rubbing. Page edges darkened. Binding loosening a bit, but all pages are present and secure. Pages a little tanned and foxed but clean, previous owner signature on half-title page is the only marking. 293 pages plus 32 pages of publisher's ads. Packaged carefully for shipment in cardboard with U. S. tracking. Oversized or heavy books may require extra postage for priority or international shipment.
